Identify an item
Use the pair app_id and market_hash_name. The default app is 730 (Counter-Strike 2). Names are exact and case-sensitive; wear, StatTrak and Souvenir qualifiers can identify different items. URL-encode names in query strings instead of concatenating them manually.
A price query describes a named item across marketplaces. It does not identify a particular listing, float value, sticker placement or seller. Marketplace listing identifiers are not parameters of the public price routes.
Name availability
Collection and normalization are separate stages. Known aliases can map a marketplace spelling to a canonical name; unknown or excluded names do not become public price rows automatically. A valid Steam name does not guarantee current coverage. See normalization and missing data.
