Terms of Service

Last updated: June 12, 2026.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the website, software, and API (collectively, the “Services”) operated by the operator of cs.cheap (“cs.cheap,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms apply to anyone who creates an account or otherwise uses the Services (“you” or “your”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Description of the Services

The Services provide programmatic access, through a website and an HTTP API, to price data for Counter-Strike in-game items (“skins”) listed on third-party marketplaces, together with value-added computation performed on our infrastructure — including price aggregation and normalization, exchange-rate and base-currency conversion, and related derived metrics.

What you pay for is access to our computation and delivery infrastructure — the aggregation, normalization, and conversion services we run, and the availability, latency, and reliability of the API that delivers them — not the underlying market data itself, which originates from third-party sources as described in Section 2.

Access is offered through time-based subscription passes and pay-as-you-go credits, as described on our pricing page.

We may modify, update, or discontinue portions of the Services from time to time. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that adversely affect the Services.

2. Data Sources and Third-Party Content

2.1 Where the Data Comes From

The market data made available through the Services originates from third-party marketplaces and is obtained exclusively through lawful channels:

  • Open platforms and official APIs published by the relevant marketplaces for programmatic access; and
  • Data partners who are authorized to supply such data to us.

We do not claim ownership of the underlying market data. We collect, aggregate, normalize, and redistribute it within the scope permitted by the applicable open-platform terms and partner agreements.

2.2 No Affiliation with Valve or Any Marketplace

cs.cheap is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation, Steam, or any marketplace whose data appears in the Services. “Steam,” “Counter-Strike,” and related marks are trademarks of Valve Corporation. All other marketplace names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used solely to identify the source of the data.

Virtual items themselves remain the intellectual property of Valve Corporation, and your acquisition, holding, and disposal of them are governed by Valve's and the relevant marketplace's own terms.

2.3 No Control over Third-Party Sources

We do not control, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or continued availability of third-party data sources. Marketplaces may change, restrict, or discontinue their open platforms and APIs at any time, which may affect the coverage or availability of the Services. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain coverage but are not liable for changes attributable to third-party sources.

3. Informational Purposes Only; No Financial Advice

All prices, rates, conversions, and derived metrics provided through the Services are for informational and reference purposes only. They:

  • are not investment, financial, trading, or any other form of professional advice;
  • may differ from the price at which an item can actually be bought or sold at any given moment; and
  • should not be the sole basis for any purchase, sale, or other transaction decision.

Trading virtual items involves risk, including price volatility and marketplace-specific restrictions. You bear sole responsibility for decisions you make in reliance on the Services.

4. Account Registration

4.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4.2 Account Creation

You must create an account to use most of the Services. You may sign in with an email and password, or with Steam or GitHub. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.

4.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized access or security incident related to your account.

4.4 Email Binding

Accounts created purely through Steam are assigned a synthetic, non-deliverable email address. To receive transactional email and to unlock certain features, you may need to bind a real, verified email address in your account settings.

5. Use of the Services

5.1 Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Services and the API, including integrating data returned by the API into your own projects, websites, or applications.

5.2 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the data returned by the API as-is (i.e., in bulk and without material transformation), or use it to build a service whose primary value is redistributing that data;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Services;
  • Circumvent rate limits, credit accounting, security features, or access controls;
  • Share, resell, or sublicense your API keys or account access except as expressly permitted;
  • Use the Services in a manner that violates applicable laws or the terms of the marketplaces whose data the Services cover;
  • Use the Services to transmit malicious code or engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive behavior.

5.3 API Keys and Usage

API requests are authenticated with API keys issued to your account and are subject to rate limits and credit consumption. You are responsible for monitoring your usage and for keeping your API keys confidential.

6. Your Data and Privacy

Data you submit to the Services — including your account information, API keys, and support tickets — is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect it.

Where we process personal data on behalf of a business customer, our Data Processing Addendum applies.

7. Security

We maintain an information security program designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Services. This may include industry-standard controls such as encryption, access controls, and monitoring.

You acknowledge that no system is completely secure and that we do not guarantee absolute security.

8. Fees and Payment

8.1 Subscriptions and Credits

You agree to pay all fees for the subscription passes and credits you purchase, at the prices shown on our pricing page at the time of purchase. Unless expressly stated, fees are non-refundable.

Subscription passes are fixed-term access windows and do not automatically renew unless expressly stated at checkout.

8.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (NOWPayments). Access and credits are granted after the corresponding payment is confirmed. We are not responsible for delays or failures attributable to the payment processor or the underlying payment network.

8.3 Access Windows and Credit Expiry

Subscription passes grant access for a defined time window. Credits, where included or purchased, follow the terms described on the pricing page. You are responsible for understanding the access window and credit terms before purchasing.

8.4 Taxes

Fees are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for all applicable taxes, except for taxes based on our net income.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our IP

The aggregation and normalization logic, exchange-rate and base-currency computation, data schemas, documentation, software, and delivery infrastructure that make up the Services are proprietary to us and protected by intellectual property laws. We retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Services. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.

9.2 Third-Party Data and Marks

The underlying market data remains the property of its respective sources, and third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners, as described in Section 2.

9.3 Feedback

You may provide feedback or suggestions regarding the Services. We may use such feedback without restriction or obligation to you.

10. Third-Party Services

The Services rely on or integrate with third-party products and services (including Steam, GitHub, the marketplaces whose data we cover, and our payment processor). We are not responsible for third-party services and disclaim all liability related to them. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms.

11. Suspension and Termination

11.1 Suspension

We may suspend access to the Services if you violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or fail to pay applicable fees.

11.2 Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these Terms.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases. Fees already paid are non-refundable except as expressly stated or required by law.

12. Warranties and Disclaimers

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the market data provided through the Services is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose, and the Services may be subject to outages, maintenance windows, or inaccuracies attributable to third-party dependencies.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS OR TRADING LOSSES INCURRED IN RELIANCE ON DATA PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICES.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Services, the data you submit, or your violation of these Terms, applicable law, or third-party terms.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, excluding conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, and the parties consent to personal jurisdiction there.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. General

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

These Terms are published in English, Simplified Chinese, and Russian. If there is any inconsistency between a translated version and the English version, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
